How do I signup and pay for a whole team to save money?

We suggest you signup and pay for a whole team (up to four athletes on a team, you choose how many!) as you’ll save money:

  1. When signing up, choose the first option titled “Prepay and Save” and everyone will save money.
  2. You’ll choose a team name and password when signing up.
  3. Share this team name and password with three friends and they can signup by choosing the registration option titled “Join a Team” – each teammate joining your team will need to pay a $9.95 insurance fee.
How do I signup and join a team? My team captain already paid.
  1. Click the orange “Register” button to signup for a race.
  2. Choose the registration option titled “Teammate – Join a Team.”
  3. You’ll need to enter the team name and password when signing up (ask your team captain for this).
  4. There is a $9.95 insurance fee for each athlete signing up.
How do I only pay for myself?

We suggest you signup and pay for a whole team (up to four athletes on a team, you choose how many!) as you’ll save money, but you can have each teammate pay individually online too:

  1. When signing up, choose the first option titled “Relay Team of 4 – Pay solo.”
  2. You’ll either join a team or start a new one. If you start one, share your team name and password with up to three friends.
How do I signup for the 5k race, not the relay?

Starting at 8am athletes will run a 5k solo race to see which person is fastest. You can race this 5k event before the team relay by also signing up choosing “5k Solo Race.”

How do I reset my team password?
  1. Click on Login in the menu and enter your info.
  2. Find the race you want to manage.
  3. Click “Manage Team.”
  4. From here you can reset the password.

Refund Policy

Because of the nature of event planning, all entry fee payments are non-refundable and all sales are final. We have several options:

To transfer your entry to a friend you can login to your account and make a transfer:

  1. Click Login on our site and enter your info.
  2. Click “My Registered Races.”
  3. Click “View / Edit Registration” on the race you want to transfer.
  4. Click “Transfer to Another Runner.”

When your friend accepts this new registration they will need to pay the USOCR insurance fee and a small processing fee as the original insurance was tied to the original athlete and cannot be transferred.

To keep your entry for yourself but transfer it to a future race you’ll need to email us before the race. We will give you a coupon to use to sign up for a future event. The coupon will be the price you paid for the event, less the insurance and processing fee. When you use this coupon to register for an upcoming event you’ll be responsible for paying a new insurance fee and a new processing fee.

If you completely miss the race and don’t contact us beforehand, we can give you a 50% credit to a future race if you email us within one week of the event.

At The Race

Is the race timed? Are there awards?
The 24-hour Team Relay Race is a contest to see which team can run the most laps in 24 hours. Each team will be tracked and recorded after they complete a full lap (courses A, B and C). Only full laps are counted, so make sure your teammate finishes Lap C before the 24-hour siren ends on Sunday!

The morning 5k race is not timed, it is just a fun run with bragging rights.

Do all teammates race together?
  1. Only one person running at a time and the other teammates will be at camp resting. At the start of the race, you’ll choose one teammate to run the first lap and give them the baton. After they complete their section, they’ll hand the baton off to the teammate waiting at the exchange so they can run the next section. You’ll keep repeating this for 24 hours!
What should I wear?
There are no giant mud pits to slosh in, only if you can’t do monkey bars or fall off the balance beams! We suggest you wear your favorite running attire.

We suggest wearing:

  • Light, quick drying running shorts and running shirt
  • Regular pair of running shoes you train in. They could get wet, but you’ll have time to dry them out. (A second pair is a good idea!)
  • Socks you don’t mind throwing away (or being brown from now on)!

Sunglasses are nice, but make sure to hold on tight when in the mud and water.

Cameras are a blast, but make sure they’re waterproof!

Have a crazy costume? That’s fine, as long as your clothing does not put anyone (including yourself) in danger.

We recommend athletic clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty, really dirty. Our pro team wears MudGear Compression Obstacle Race SocksIcebug shoes with an awesome tread, and Xracewear apparel. Xracewear makes shorts and tops that hold your bib number so you don’t need safety pins. For those looking to crush the course, visit them for great shoes, gloves, shirts, socks and other outdoor performance apparel.

On The Course

Will there be water and aid stations?
On the team relay race there are not any water stations. Each lap you run will take 15-30 minutes so we suggest you take water with you if needed.

We have water refill stations in camp so you can fill up your water jugs and take them to your camp and then fill up your water bottles.

Please note: this is a cup-less race and we will NOT have any cups for drinking water!

Will I have to swim?
No. Any water that you may need to cross will be no more than 3’-4’ deep and will have lifeguards on duty.

Some venues might have slightly deeper water, but we always make it so you can get around anything that would require swimming.
