Here’s How It Works

Your Teammates

How many people race on a team?

Each team has 4 racers and a support crew. The price you pay includes up to 4 teammates. Only one teammate will be running at any given time and will hand off the team baton to another teammate at the end of their loop. When you’re not racing you will have a chance to catch your breath, hydrate, and help your other teammates get ready to run their loops.

Three Courses To Race

Different courses to test every athlete

The race will have three different loops that must always be run in order. If a racers wants to run more than one loop at a time, they just keep running the loops in sequential order. Each loops will take you 10-45 minutes to complete.

Loop A – Technical
Think cargo nets, monkey bars and Tarzan swings to test your grip strength and coordination.

Loop B – Strength
This will include tire flips, Wreck Bag carries, and more to test how strong you are.

Loop C – Speed
Fewer obstacles, designed to see how fast you can run.

Your Campsite

Camp – rest and recover

Each team will claim a site to set up your camp where you’ll recover at each loop. After buying a team entry you will choose a setup time between 10:00a-1:00p. You will be able to park close to Camp to unload your car and carry items to your site and then move your car to main parking lot. Spectators and support crew are free but you’re only allowed 1 support crew per teammate at your Camp. All vehicles will pay $20 to park.

Packing list for a successful Camp:

  • Food: you’ll want salty items and carbohydrates to keep you powered on each loop.
  • Beverages: both water and electrolytes.
  • Tent so you can change clothes and relax.
  • Tables and chairs.
  • Tarp to keep things clean.
  • Medical supplies: basic items for scratches and bruised shoulders and ankles like: tape, Bandaids, ice gauze pads, etc.
Support Crew

Food, water and recovery.

Each loop only takes 10-45 minutes to complete and there will be no aid stations on the course. Terrain will supply water in the Camp but this is a cup-less race: bring water bottles to fill up and use.

You’re allowed to recruit as many as 4 crew members to be at your campsite to provide nourishment and hydration (and foot massages!) after each lap. You can also help each other or join other camps.

Schedule

2pm Start, 2pm Finish

You’ll arrive to setup your between 10a-1p. The race will start at 2pm with a team warm up loop with no obstacles with approximately 3-5 miles of running. The race will finish the next day at 2pm and the team that runs the most laps will be announced. There will be a bonfire with ‘smores, food carts, a bar, and a DJ providing dance tunes until 11pm. The music will be turned off at 11pm but you’ll keep running all night long!

Night Running

Obstacles at night.

All teammates starting a lap after sunset must wear a headlamp and safety vest. The course will be lit with glow sticks and several obstacles will be lit with lights but everyone must provide their own headlamp and vest as well.

Mud and Water

How dirty will we get?

There won’t be thick mud crawls but there will be water pits to trudge through on the Speed Loop and water under the monkey bars and other obstacles where you’ll only get wet if you can’t complete the obstacle. The strength loop will be completely dry, and if you don’t fail an obstacle the technical loop will be dry too.
